The Deckmasters Difference
We do things differently because we expect the best. We do not aim to be the cheapest, our goal is to be the best.
Framing
We start with a solid base of KDAT treated lumber. We add stiff backing, diagonal bracing, and rail blocking to each deck. By doing so our decks are rigid and avoid lateral movement, a feeling so many homeowners are familiar with.
Stair stringers
Every set of stairs we put on a deck are custom cut and reinforced. We do this because pre-cut stair stringers are not code compliant. No deck has the same elevation, so stringers must be cut to fit each individual deck.
Floor Joists & Beams
We size all of our joists and beams to meet local building span charts. This ensures your deck stays safe. We also crown each floor joist to avoid ripples in your deck. Doing so takes extra time, but results in a better looking deck.
Decking
Deckmasters utilizes only the top brands of decking, ensuring you have the best products possible. Each deck uses grooved decking and hidden fasteners; as well as a square edge decking for borders with a one inch overhang past the fascia.
Railing
The important part of railing is not what products are used, but how they are secured. All surface mount rails are lagged into solid blocking, and all composite rails have an aluminum post insert lagged into solid blocking.
Details
We believe the details are important. Each deck is figured to our standards and your liking. Things like scribing fascia to your siding profile and tight miters are what set us apart.
